While the lookie-loos typically gawk at all the vintage automobiles and motorcycles on display during the famed Car Week in Monterey, Calif., the true players can be found sweating it out at the auctions being held throughout the peninsula, bidding big bucks on some of the sweetest, most desirable sheet metal known to man; 2010 was no exception. This year's auctions netted record-breaking figures. The three biggest auction houses brought in more than $150 million — proof that the recession isn't affecting the rich and shameless as much as the common Joe. So what cars brought in the most dough?
