Meet Barry Bourgeois: Your Central Region VP

Barry Bourgeois went to college to be a stockbroker, but all it took was an interview with Ford Motor Company. He hasn’t looked back since.

At Carmoza, Barry’s responsible for the dealer network in the Central region of the U.S., including 17 Midwest and Central states.

“I really enjoy the exciting challenges of dealing with people on a daily basis and helping businesses increase their operational efficiencies in a fast-paced environment,” said Barry, also a licensed pilot.

Before coming to Carmoza, Barry spent 21 years at Ford and Lincoln Mercury where he kick-started his auto industry career in Ford’s management training program, and later held roles as its franchising strategy manager - West and sales operations manager of the Ford Division.

It’s where he also first worked with Carmoza President Peter Fong.

Barry also ran his own consulting group, Retail Network Development, which provided dealership operations, dealer network development and franchising, and collateral asset management for automotive finance companies. Small wonder he’s a stickler for dealer efficiency!

“Barry has more than 20 years experience at Ford and a true understanding of all facets of dealership operations,” Fong said. “He really knows what dealers need and how to get it to them.”

Barry is a State University of New York (SUNY) at Oswego alumnus. He lives in Birmingham, Mich., with his wife of 15 years and two sons, 11 and 14 years old. He enjoys keeping up with his rambunctious boys and plans to start flying single engine planes again sometime soon.
